Description
The BL7000 ECP is our solution to the heavy duty specification, ideal for high traffic areas.
Designed to provide a reliable solution for such a application, the BL7800 ECP was designed to share a footprint with other popular heavy duty locks on the market, such at the Unican 1000 & 5000 to make switching over easy. Code changing was also made far easier with the Easicode Pro system, allowing a on the door code change and free passage function from the internal handle preventing any unauthorized code change attempts.
Undergoing a specialist e-plating process that has been salt spray tested to over 1000 hours and having all critical internals made of the highest standard of stainless steel, the unit is designed for continued usage in the harshest conditions. This offers a solution where compliance to the ISPS code is essential and it’s neither convenient or feasible to use a electronic or key driven access control solution.
The BL7800 ECP models have a built-in key override in the knob handle; this utilises a SFIC (small format interchangeable core) cylinder. This is a new type of key override system for Borg Locks, whereby rotation of the key engages the knob handle, making it ideal for use with potentially heavily sprung third-party locks. The keypad knob is free rotating and only engages with the clutch and 5/16″ spindle drive until the correct code of key is entered.
This lock was manufactured with stainless steel coding to ensure it’s longevity and allowing it to operate externally. This variation on the BL7800 series comes with a tubular latch, available with either a 2 3/8″ or a 2 3/4″ backset.
The unit is a heavy duty lock and is suitable for use internally and externally on wooden, composite and steel doors.
