MechanicalKeypads

With so many types of doors and gates currently on the market, not all locks are ideal for every setup. As a result, we here at Borg Locks have designed a large range of various latch setups and keypad styles for every situation.

Each number in the four digit code reflects one part of the lock itself. The first digit is the series number, the number getting larger as the duty rating increases. The second refers to the handle type. The third, the inside handle type, be it back to back keypads or a plain handle. The fourth digit refers to the latch type.

Any models with “ECP” in the code is part of our Easicode Pro range. These fully mechanical keypads offer the ability to change the code on the door in as little as 10 seconds.

Door application

Firstly, ask yourself what the door type is. Is it internal or external? What material is it made out of?

Latch type

Next, what type of latch does the door require? Check how much room you have to work with and the functions needed by the latch system.

Backset

Backset refers to the distance between the faceplate of the latch and the centre of the spindle follower. This will determine where the centre point of the keypad will be.
